Title or Location: Vibrant Macaw
I have always adored the vibrant color palette of the Macaw's feathers for many years. This is my first attempt at painting this species of bird, and it was a fun learning experience.

Title or Location: Chula Vista - Sunset View Park
Taken at local park as sun was setting. The light as the sun was setting reminded me of a painting from a tutorial I had previously worked on. It was reminiscent of the French countryside and was something that looked so peaceful.

Title or Location: Gracie
I find painting dogs very interesting because their appearance is so varied. This golden doodle is from a friend's photo of her pet Gracie. I painted a loose background in watercolours then painted negatively to pick out the wavey and curly areas of her coat. Gouache picked out some lighter areas. I find painting without a drawing creates a looser result. I start with the nose and measure from there.
